Carrie primarily represents people who have been harassed
or discriminated against by their employers. She has handled
a variety of other lawsuits involving whistleblowers, fraud,
consumer protection, commercial disputes, breach of contract,
corporate director and officer liability, insurance coverage,
accountant malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, check fraud,
medicare fraud, qui tam actions, lender liability, personal
injury, gas explosions and defective products. Carrie also
has experience in representing plaintiffs in class actions.
Carrie grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She studied journalism
at the University of Missouri – Columbia and studied business
at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Carrie attended MU for
law school. She served as an articles editor for the Missouri
Law Review and graduated second in her law school class. Carrie
began her practice in the trial department of Stinson, Mag
and Fizzell, P.C., in 1996. While at Stinson, Carrie practiced
law in both Kansas City and St. Louis. Carrie and Tammy Horn
started their own business, Brous Horn LLC, in 2003. Our mission
is to provide our clients with affordable, quality results.
Carrie has been awarded an individual "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell,
the highest rating available. An "AV" rating has also been awarded to the firm.
